Destillerie Farthofer Organic Dirndlgeist Liqueur

The Dirndlgeist liqueur is made from cornelian cherries and has a sweet fruity taste.

Inhabitants of the Pielachtal valley have known for 8000 years that the Dirndl or Cornelian cherry with its intense red colour is an excellent fruit for making spirits and liqueurs. Known as the wealth of the valley, this wild fruit which is very rich in vitamin C. The fruit is first macerated in the purest grain spirits and then gently distilled resulting in a sweet, fruity tasting liqueur with herbal and grassy notes. It flatters the palate with hints of sour cherries and blackberries and captivates with fine caramel aromas.

The Dirndlgeist liqueur has 40% vol. and comes in a 0.35 litre bottle.
