Inrtoduction to the Traminer

The Traminer wines from the southern Styrian Klöch wine region are among the most expressive wines in Europe. As Prädikatsweine they show unimaginable size with an intense, varietal typical fragrance in the bouquet, flowery fruit finesse and a velvety-soft, deep aroma surrounded by a delicate acid veil.

Traminer and Gewürztraminer are the same grape variety. While the Traminer boasts a fine varietal bouquet with a typical wild rose scent, the Gewürztraminer has a distinctly stronger and spicy bouquet with notes of cloves and thyme.

The Gewürztraminer is an excellent aperitif and dessert wine. As an accompaniment, it is ideal for poultry and fish dishes, spicy and oriental dishes and various cheeses.
