General to the Traminer

The Traminer wines from the southern Styrian wine region of Klöch are among the most expressive wines in Europe. They have an intense fragrance in the bouquet that is typical for the grape and have a flowery fruit finesse and a velvety-soft, deep flavour with a fine acidity.

Traminer and Gewürztraminer grapes are the same grape variety. While the Traminer boasts a varietal bouquet with a typical wild rose scent, whereas the Gewürztraminer has a distinctly stronger and spicy bouquet with notes of cloves and thyme.

The Gewürztraminer is an excellent aperitif and dessert wine. As an accompaniment, it is ideal for poultry and fish dishes, spicy dishes, Asian cuisine or various cheeses.
