There is something simply delightful about a pumpkin cream soup on a cool day! These pumpkins are ideal for cooking, roasting or baking.

Useful information:

• Pumpkins grow especially well on compost heaps. They prefer humus-rich, loose, warm soils in a sunny, sheltered location, need a lot of warmth (use a black mulch film to keep your soil warm) and a lot of water.
• When sowing, insert 2-3 seeds per 9 cm pot or per hole. Planting in pots is best, then transplant the seedlings outdoors. Move to a light location after germination and only select the strongest seedlings.
