Description
The juniper is a shrub that grows mainly on heaths and in mountainous areas. It bears small but intensely aromatic juniper berries. Their intense, slightly resinous flavour, mildly bitter and aromatic spicy note is the perfect seasoning note for game meat. Juniper berries are also used as a pickling spice and as an ingredient in the making of spirits. One thing is for sure: it adds a decorative touch to a glass of gin.
