Description

The location for the cultivation of this white asparagus is chosen with great care. Once the right location is found, asparagus of the highest quality and flavour is grown in a combination of sandy loam, green manure and subsoil. Broken asparagus pieces are perfect for use in soups and casseroles.

Peeling:

  • Start peeling thinly 2 - 3 cm below the head, thicker towards the end. Wrap the peeled asparagus in a damp cloth. Please be sure to peel completely. Any peel left on the asparagus results in a bitter taste.

Cooking:

  • Can be steamed or gently boiled in water in bundles either standing on the ends or laid flat. The cooking time depends on the thickness of the stems, between 10 and 20 minutes. Most important: do not overcook asparagus!
