Burgenland and Grüner Veltliner? Oh yeah

The Leithaberg and Leo Sommer are especially famous for very fine, mineral Grüner Veltliner. This dream specimen of the beautiful, warm 2017 vintage has once again totally thrilled and convinced us. Everyone should have this wine at home.

Leo also gives this wine the time it needs to ripen. After 12 months in old traditional wooden barrels, the wine shows slowly all his skill and great potential.

Very multi-layered on the palate, with light mineral notes. One can fully taste ripe pear fruit, some herbs. The finish gives a slightly salty note, which makes the wine incredibly fresh and elegant. This will still cost you a sip and then another. So multi-faceted that we too are amazed.

Fits with many dishes wonderfully, especially chicken, traditional home cooking but also now to asparagus & other vegetables.
