The GAGs (glycosaminoglycans) used in STARHORSE® Arthro-Med are obtained from the New Zealand green-lipped farmed mussel Perna canaliculus in food quality and therefore meet the highest quality guidelines.

STARHORSE® Arthro-Med is nutritional support for the healthy function of joint cartilage, tendons, ligaments, joint capsule and synovial fluid. In order to be able to maintain the elastic properties of the musculoskeletal system, the organism must continuously reproduce glycosaminoglycans (GAGs). Connective tissue and articular cartilage naturally have the ability to absorb GAGs (through liquid) like a sponge and break them down again under load or pressure.

With increased stress (sport horses), with growing foals and the increasing age of horses, the need for GAGs increases considerably and the organism can only partially cover this. The consequence can be degeneration of the musculoskeletal system in the form of cartilage and joint damage, joint inflammation and tendinitis.

Thanks to its excellent composition, STARHORSE® Arthro-Med not only ensures the targeted supply of the musculoskeletal system with glycosaminoglycans, but also provides those important vitamins that are necessary for optimal absorption in the organism. In order to do justice to the taste of horses, STARHORSE® Arthro-Med has been refined with a light apple and pear taste. Due to this flavour and the form of administration as a powder (not as conventional pellets), STARHORSE® Arthro-Med can be fed very easily and is therefore optimally absorbed by horses.

QUALITY NOTICE:
GAGs can only develop their effect as pure mussel extract. Products that only consist of shell powder have little effect and are therefore cheap but not effective. In STARHORSE® Arthro-Med, only pure mussel extract is used.
