The trio from 'Das goldene Wiener Herz' have taken the typical Viennese dichotomy as their concept. The idea behind the 'Vienna Couples' series was to bring the likenesses of famous Viennese couples onto an everyday object and to bring the great Viennese clichƩs to new splendour through exaggeration and careful realisation.
The portrait of Emperor Franz Joseph was decorated by hand with a grid of small, real gold hearts.
