Description
The preserving aid by Dr. Oetker can be used to extend the shelf-life of homemade drinks, jams, jellies etc. and prevents fermentation. It dissolves easily (even in cold liquids).
Tip:
One sachet (10 g) is sufficient for 5 kg fruit pulp, 13.5 litres of juice/syrup or 2.5 litres of vinegar water.
Recommended uses:
- Fruit spreads & drinks: Stir the preserving aid into the hot fruit pulp or liquid (do not boil). For cold liquids: mix the preserving aid with a little hot water or warm juice and then add to the cold liquid.
- For vegetable preserves: Dissolve the preserving aid in 2.5 litres of hot but not boiling vinegar water in which you wish to preserve vegetables. Then pour it over the prepared vegetables in jars, seal the jars and store in a cool place.
