This hardy wild lettuce stays green up through early December. The young leaves can also be harvested very early in the spring.
Plant the rocketcress in a sunny to partially shaded spot and water it regularly - the more water it gets, the milder the taste. If you harvest the leaves before flowering, they taste pleasantly spicy like cress and can be used raw.
