What is absolutely indispensable in a classic Mediterranean spice blend? Of course, the typical herbs like oregano, thyme, rosemary and sage. These are therefore also to be found in the "Mediterranean - SHE - EDITION" spice blend by Stay Spiced! That was not enough for top chef Roland Trettl, who developed this spice blend. He also added tomatoes, peppers, shallots, ground capers, fennel seeds, porcini mushrooms and a touch of lemon peel. Piment d'espelette and jalapeno chilli tickle the taste buds for that extra little jolt of spiciness.
This harmonious blend of spices goes well with Mediterranean cuisine - whether with meat & poultry, fish & seafood or vegetables.
Good to know: Italian chef Roland Trettl was the executive chef in the renowned Ikarus restaurant in the Red Bull Hangar-7 at Salzburg Airport for ten years (2003-2013). The likeable top chef also achieved fame through his cookbooks and appearances in various cooking shows on TV.
