Description
Those who appreciate authentic Italian cuisine need no introduction to guanciale. But for the rest of us, guanciale is an intensely flavourful piece of cured pork meat made from the cheek.
Lightly salted and air-dried, the flavourful high-quality fat nearly melts in the mouth while the meat has a pleasantly tender texture.
How to serve:
Slice the guanciale thinly and serve with starters or antipasti. It is also ideal for preparing classic Italian dishes such as spaghetti carbonara.
