Originally from South America, amaranth is gaining popularity in worldwide cuinsine. It is often used in mueslis and casseroles and tastes great in soups. Ground, amaranth can be used in omlettes, cake, bread and other types of doughs.

Other uses:

• It makes a nice side dish when it's been cooked.
• Ground, it is suitable for making pancakes and tortillas.
