Mangolds Ajvar

Ajvar - a classic spread from the Balkans that is wonderful with a variety of dishes. Serve it as a spread, as a condiment with grilled food, in burgers or wraps or as a dip. It is made with rescued long peppers and aubergines and processed with high-quality organic olive oil.

The focus at Mangolds is to use "rescued" vegetables from regional Styrian farms that would otherwise be left on the fields because they do not meet the visual criteria of supermarkets. These vegetables may not look perfect, but the taste is in no way inferior to their better-looking counterparts. Mangolds uses them to make their delicious products that are vegan, free from artificial preservatives, colours and additives.

Mangolds has been running a successful vegan/vegetarian restaurant with a shop in Graz for 30 years now.
