Description

Apple wood is a popular option as smoking wood and for good reason. The slightly fruity, sweet taste is easily absorbed by grilled foods and is very mild. The wood is sourced entirely from forests owned by Köhlerei Hochecker, is PEFC certified and is free from bark.

How to use: Before using, soak the chunks in water for about 30 minutes. Drain the water and place the chunks on glowing charcoal. This releases the aromatic smoke of the wood chunks which is absorbed by the meat being grilled.
