Description

The Real Salzburger Rye Bread Baking Mix is a mixed rye bread seasoned with classic Austrian bread spices such as caraway, fennel and coriander. Pumpkin seeds and walnuts add a delicious crunchy texture.

Instructions:

  1. Place the baking mix in a bowl and add 450 ml warm water.
  2. Knead vigorously once.
    Tip: Because rye dough is very sticky, we recommend that you knead the dough in the bowl first. Once the water is well absorbed, you can finish kneading the dough on a floured work surface
  3. Shape into one large loaf of bread or several small ones.
  4. Place on a baking tray lined with baking paper and let it rest for about 30 minutes.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 220°C (top & bottom heat) for 20 - 30 minutes depending on the size of the loaf.
