Description
The handmade organic strawberry jam by DOSPA is made with fresh fruits according to a traditional recipe in the monastery of the Deutschordensschwestern (Order of the Teutonic Sisters) in Friesach, Carinthia. The monastery is over 800 years old where this jam is not produced industrially but is made carefully in small batches.
E 440 - pectin
Pectin is a natural substance that is found in many fruits and vegetables and can be found in many plants that grow on land. Pectin, which is found in the cell walls, plays an important role in stabilizing the cell structure. In the European Union, pectin is used as a thickener under the name E 440.
