Snorre Plant Stand S (60 cm), Natural

Snorre plant stands are unique and made from upcycled old slatted frames. The slatted bed frames were used for double beds or children's beds in Vienna and are sourced directly from MA 48, Vienna's municipal waste collection service. They have been repurposed now to hold your favourite planters at home.

Snorre is more than just a plant stand. It is a social project that helps people in Vienna to reintegrate into the labour market. All slatted frames are picked up by Volkshilfe, a social organisation, directly from MA 48. They are taken apart and then assembled by hand at the Caritas social workshop "Wörkerei" into unique pieces. In these workshops, young people and the long-term unemployed get a step-by-step introduction to regular working life. Every purchase of a Snorre product thus actively contributes to the success of these social projects.

Plants not only need nutrients and water to thrive, but they also need new pots as they grow. A plant stand such as this one is the perfect solution because it grows and adapts with your plant. Snorre is therefore much more than a plant stand. It is a carefully considered design piece that will serve you well for a long time.

The Snorre brand won the design award at Blickfang Vienna 2021 in the "Furniture & Product Design" category. The minimalist design and the comprehensive social concept impressed the jury.

Each Snorre plant stand is unique and therefore the wood colour and type in the images may vary slightly. Some have stickers from the old slatted frames. The colour of the cord in the product you receive may differ from the one shown in the image but this is not a defect as it is an upcycled product. Small scratches or scuff marks are considered part of the product idea and not as a defect.
