Baccili Limoncello

This limoncello captures the essence of ripe Calabrian lemons. Just opening the bottle releases the delightful aromas of sun-ripened lemons. The lemons are carefully peeled to obtain only the zest which is rich in citrus aromas. This zest is then steeped in high-quality alcohol along with sugar in a maturing process that lasts for several weeks. It has a slightly cloudy appearance which is caused by the presence of tiny droplets of essential oil from the lemons.

In Italy, the intense lemony taste of limoncello is usually enjoyed pure. It is served as a digestif after light pasta and fish dishes. It is also used to make long drinks. Add a dash of lemon juice, tonic and ice for a refreshing summer drink.
