Baccili Citronello

Lemons, mandarins and oranges are to Italy what tomatoes are to pasta. Only the outermost layer, known as the zest, of these citrus fruits contains fragrant essential oils. The fruits are carefully peeled to separate the fragrant zest which is then steeped in high-quality alcohol for several weeks to create Baccili's delicious, highly aromatic Citronello liqueur.

After the maturing period, rock candy is added to the liqueur to introduce a subtle sweetness. It is then ready to serve and is best enjoyed chilled. This intensifies the aromas of lemon, mandarin and orange on the palate. The balanced aroma of these three citrus fruits is unique and rarely available as a liqueur.

The Citronello by Baccili is also a fantastic ingredient in Italian long drinks. It goes well with slightly bitter drinks and is also great as an aromatic touch to cool tonic water garnished with a slice of fresh Italian lemon. All ingredients are sourced from Italy or the Innviertel region.
