My Herbs Horehound (Marrubium vulgare) Salt

The common or white horehound (Marrubium vulgare) is an almost forgotten herb with many properties. It has been added to alpine salt to create this fine flavoured salt blend with tart and bitter aromas. M. vulgare is a wild form of marjoram or oregano with an even more intense taste!

Adds a tart, aromatic herbal boost to meat, fish, grilled vegetables, fried potatoes and much more.

Note: The essential oils of M. vulgare develop in intensity when heated and give dishes an intense aroma and flavour - so use sparingly at the beginning and add more if desired.
