Weingut Peter Skoff Weissburgunder SüdStmk DAC 2021

This Weissburgunder used to be labelled "Steirische Klassik" and has been a Südsteiermark DAC since 2019. The grape varietal skilfully reflects the characteristics of this beautiful wine-growing region. After the harvest from various vineyards with weathered soils, the wine was developed on fine lees in steel tanks for six months.

It is crisp and fresh with an easy to drink mouthfeel. A yeasty fruit scent with typical almond aromas fills the air. Clear mineral notes, firm and juicy in the mouth, lively with very fine acidity. Hearty and dense on the palate. A young wine that's easy to drink now, but can be allowed to mature for a few more years.

Perfect with traditional fried chicken or a Styrian snack platter.
