Ship Ahoy! The cocoa was transported from Belize to Hamburg by sailing ship, completely emission-free and sustainable.

The Maya, the forefathers of the chocolate culture, lived in the Yucatán area in southern and southeastern Mexico, as well as in some areas of Belize, Guatemala, and Honduras. In Belize, they still live today and cultivate cocoa, guarding the cocoa knowledge that has been handed down over centuries and enjoy their cocoa as drinking chocolate.

Josef Zotter and his family spent two weeks with the Mayan cocoa farmers, who live away from the hustle and bustle of Belize City in the middle of the jungle, and recorded the trip as a documentary.
