Gölles Manufaktur Ron Johan Rum, Old Plum (700 ml)

The word rum evokes fantasies of white sandy beaches, palm trees, turquoise seas and pirates. One of these pirates now adorns the rum bottles by David Gölles. Only a handful of Austrian producers make this internationally renowned spirit.

The Styrian rum distiller David Gölles has now produced the first Austrian rum. The label depicts the famous pirate, Black Beard, and Archduke Johann of Austria.

The distiller receives organic molasses once a year from the Caribbean, South and Central America. All other ingredients are bought, fermented and distilled in-house. The rum is refined by aging it in old barrels of port wine, sherry, tequila, mezcal or Japanese rice or barley spirits. An old plum brandy barrel from their own brandy production is used for the "Old Plum Rum" to give it a unique colour and taste.
